  • 2022 SDFSC Annual Meeting

    Thank You to the 85 members who voted and the 55 members who attend the meeting making each official by surpassing the quorum requirements. If you missed it, we have:

  • Registration Open – 2022 Skate La Grande

    Skate La Grande is back in 2022!!! The weekend of June 24-26th we will be back in action.
    We have our U.S. Figure Skating Sanction, our Announcement, and Registration system all up and going.

    Registration will be open until May 24th with an Early Bird discount available during April. Sign up today!

    We will also need volunteers before and during the competition so please give back and signup when requests go out for your help.

  • 2022 Sweetheart Classic

    The Shining Blades attended a competition hosted by The Rinks-Anaheim Ice and Glacier Falls FSC on February 12-13, 2022.

  • 2022 Pacific Coast Synchronized Sectionals

    This week the SDFSC was represented by four teams at the 2022 Midwestern/Pacific Coast Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships held in Kalamazoo, MI at the Wings Event Center. Live video streaming was available on the US Figure Skating Fan Zone and now On Demand replays are available (please note there are several minutes of an “Event Begins Soon” which you can fast forward past using the scroll bar).

  • Adult and Synchro Exhibition

    The SDFSC is happy to support our Adult and Synchro skaters with an exhibition opportunity on Saturday, January 15th, 2022 from 4:20 pm to 5:50 pm.

    SDFSC supports our synchronized skating teams with banners to hang at competitions.

  • 2022 National High Performance Team

    The 2022 U.S. Figure Skating Championship Series presented by Toyota took place Oct. 4 – Nov. 20, 2021, in eight locations, permitting athletes to compete at up to two competitions in the location of their choice. Our own SDFSC members have qualified for the National High Performance Team with the following results:

    Olivia Mendoza and Aiden Elswick – Novice Pairs
    Ranked 3rd Nationally
    Ranked 1st in the Pacific Coast Section

  • SDFSC Skaters help open Rady Children’s Ice Rink

    San Diego local news captured the Rady Children’s Ice Rink (outdoor) return to Liberty Station with the help of coach Jami Macleod and SDFSC skaters. The rink will be open until January 9th, 2022 with ticket proceeds going to the Thriving After Cancer program at the Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Rady Children’s.
