  • Huge Success for the SDFSC Participants

    On Saturday June 25th, our skaters were able to enjoy the teaching skills of renowned choreographer, Sarah Kawahara, pictured in the center of the skaters wearing a bright pink jacket.

    The skaters enjoyed, performed and absorbed as Sarah presented her “Palette of Choreography Workshop” at the San Diego Ice Arena from 12:00pm – 6:00pm. This is just another example of how the San Diego Figure Skating Club is committed to encourage, develop and educate their elite competitive skaters!

  • 2016 ISU World Synchronized Skaing Championships concludes

    Congratulations to Team USA 1 (Haydenettes) on their overall BRONZE medal at the ISU World Championships in Budapest.  Their performance included the highest scoring Free Skate (full results) performance across ALL teams.

  • UCSD Figure Skating off to Intercollegiate Championships

    We wish the UCSD figure skating the best of luck as they travel to Delaware to compete at the Intercollegiate Championships at the University of Delaware! This is the first time they have qualified for nationals since the team came together 4 years ago. Skate great UCSD!

  • Synchronized Skating Opportunity

    SDFSC is proud to have 18 skaters that are now International Gold Medalists!

    Our Senior Team del Sol was not only chosen to represent Team USA internationally, but they won the Gold medal at the 2016 Trophy D’ Ecosse Championships in Dumfries, Scotland as well as two “Most Entertaining Performance” Awards!

    These skaters came from different backgrounds; some from Ladies & Men’s Singles, some from Ice Dance & Pairs and others started out directly in the Synchronized Skating discipline.

  • Synchronized Skating Team Tryouts

    On Saturday, March 26, 2016 at San Diego Ice Arena both Team del Sol and Shining Blades will conduct tryouts for the 2016-2017 season of Synchronized Skating.  SDFSC will host light breakfast including oatmeal, muffins, and yogurt parfaits.

    Please visit each teams website for additional details and online registration forms to complete and bring to tryouts.

    Team del Sol begins at 5:00am

    Shining Blades begins at 8:00am

  • Synchronized Skating Season concludes at US Nationals

    The synchronized skating season concluded in Kalamazoo, MI at the US Synchronized Skating Championships.  Some teams endured more than 24 hours of travel time due to snow storms in the mid-west and battled various injuries and still delivered respectable performances:

    Senior Team del Sol earned 7th
    Novice Team del Sol earned 10th
    Intermediate Team del Sol earned 9th
