Team del Sol Tryouts
Our U.S. Figure Skating Synchronized Skating Team will be conducting tryouts this Saturday, April 17th from 5:45 am to 7:45 am. If you are interested, please contact Coach Karen Wiesmeier for an assigned tryout time.

Shining Blades Synchro Tryouts
We are happy to announce that registration for Shining Blades Synchronized Skating Teams is now open. The registration deadline is March 20th, 2021. See Tryouts page on ShiningBlades.org for complete requirements and registration link.
The coaches are also holding Synchronized Skills Class and Power Stoking Class on Saturday mornings at SDIA.

2018-2019 Synchronized Team Tryouts
Coming on Saturday, April 21, 2018, will be the SDFSC Synchronized Team Tryouts with Team del Sol and Shining Blades at SDIA. Tryouts start at 5:00 am and go until 10:15 am. Please visit the teams’ websites for exact times and requirement details at:

Good Luck at 2018 Pacific Coast Synchronized Sectional Championships
SDFSC wishes the best of luck for a great skate to all of our competitive synchronized skating teams from Shining Blades (SB) and Team del Sol (TdS) at the 2018 Pacific Coast Synchronized Sectional Championships.
Synchronized Sectionals are two competitions, Midwestern and Pacific Coast, at one venue which this year is in Wichita, Kansas. Event details for both can be found on the Midwestern Synchro Sectionals website.
Note the times on the website are Kansas or Central time zone, converted here to PST:
- Thurs, 1/25 at 6:05pm PST– Pre-Juvenile Championships PC (SB)
- Fri, 1/26 at 8:02am PST – Intermediate Championships PC (TdS)
- Fri, 1/26 at 1:10pm PST – Juvenile Championships PC (TdS)
- Fri, 1/26 at 1:22pm PST – Open-Juvenile Championships PC (SB)

Team del Sol Honored at Annual Meeting
At the SDFSC Annual meeting, Senior Team del Sol were honored for the accomplishments in the 2015-2016 season. Karin Sherr from USFSA presented the team with plaques to remember the accomplishment of representing Team USA at Trophy d’Ecosse in Dumfries, Scotland, winning an International Gold Medal and two most entertaining performance awards.

Synchronized Skating Opportunity
SDFSC is proud to have 18 skaters that are now International Gold Medalists!
Our Senior Team del Sol was not only chosen to represent Team USA internationally, but they won the Gold medal at the 2016 Trophy D’ Ecosse Championships in Dumfries, Scotland as well as two “Most Entertaining Performance” Awards!
These skaters came from different backgrounds; some from Ladies & Men’s Singles, some from Ice Dance & Pairs and others started out directly in the Synchronized Skating discipline.

Synchronized Skating Team Tryouts
On Saturday, March 26, 2016 at San Diego Ice Arena both Team del Sol and Shining Blades will conduct tryouts for the 2016-2017 season of Synchronized Skating. SDFSC will host light breakfast including oatmeal, muffins, and yogurt parfaits.

Team del Sol begins at 5:00am
Shining Blades begins at 8:00am

Synchronized Skating Season concludes at US Nationals
The synchronized skating season concluded in Kalamazoo, MI at the US Synchronized Skating Championships. Some teams endured more than 24 hours of travel time due to snow storms in the mid-west and battled various injuries and still delivered respectable performances:
Senior Team del Sol earned 7th
Novice Team del Sol earned 10th
Intermediate Team del Sol earned 9thCongratulations to all the coaches, skaters, managers and families for another great season.
