Congratulations to Team USA 1 (Haydenettes) on their overall BRONZE medal at the ISU World Championships in Budapest. Their performance included the highest scoring Free Skate (full results) performance across ALL teams.
Also serving with the judges was our own head coach from Team del Sol, Karen Wiesmeier.

We wish the UCSD figure skating the best of luck as they travel to Delaware to compete at the Intercollegiate Championships at the University of Delaware! This is the first time they have qualified for nationals since the team came together 4 years ago. Skate great UCSD!

SDFSC is proud to have 18 skaters that are now International Gold Medalists!
Our Senior Team del Sol was not only chosen to represent Team USA internationally, but they won the Gold medal at the 2016 Trophy D’ Ecosse Championships in Dumfries, Scotland as well as two “Most Entertaining Performance” Awards!
These skaters came from different backgrounds; some from Ladies & Men’s Singles, some from Ice Dance & Pairs and others started out directly in the Synchronized Skating discipline.
There are still opportunities for you to join and strengthen our 2016-2017 Senior Team del Sol. Contact: tdssynchro@gmail.com

The synchronized skating season concluded in Kalamazoo, MI at the US Synchronized Skating Championships. Some teams endured more than 24 hours of travel time due to snow storms in the mid-west and battled various injuries and still delivered respectable performances:
Senior Team del Sol earned 7th
Novice Team del Sol earned 10th
Intermediate Team del Sol earned 9th
Congratulations to all the coaches, skaters, managers and families for another great season.
